Uniben student rushed to the hospital after attempting suicide

A final year female Accounting student of the University of Benin, Edo State, was, last night, rushed to the school’s health center after consuming a poisonous substance in an apparent suicide attempt.

The incident took place in Queen Idia hall. It was gathered that the yet-to-identified girl had rushed to the toilet after breaking down in tears telling her friends that she wanted to kill herself.

She was later discovered writhing in agony an ambulance was called in. She was subsequently rushed to the hospital, where doctors are currently battling to rescue her.
